Our Small Business Journey: From a Home Project DIY to Fundraising for a Cause

We are a family-owned and operated small business, and every product we create is a labor of love for each of us. Originally from Fort McMurray, Alberta - with Newfoundland roots - now living in Blalckfalds, Alberta, we stumbled upon this business entirely by accident.

It all started with Brandi creating a reversible scarecrow/snowman as a DIY project and sharing it on her Facebook page. Encouraged by the positive response, we decided to sell them on Facebook marketplace and were surprised by the number of orders we received. Today, as a stay-at-home mom of four children, Brandi has found a way to contribute to our family financially while staying at home. This is our story of transforming our passion for designing and crafting into a way to help others.

At the core of our business philosophy is the belief that we each have two hands, one for helping ourselves and one for helping others.  Last summer, we decided to change the way we do business and began using our passion for creating to help raise money for people and animals in need. We have partnered with several charities and personal fundraisers to help raise much-needed funds. We donate a portion of our profit to organizations such as SPCA and local animal shelters, food banks, and women's shelters. Additionally, we help raise money for everyday people in need as well. Whether it be for medical expenses, funeral costs, sports & dance for children, etc. We are proud of the impact we have made on our community and beyond.

As a team, we share a common goal, to create something special, and have fun while doing it. Our work is not just about producing beautiful creations, but it also means we get to spend time together as a family. Every product that we produce has a story behind it, and we take pride in making each that leaves our home.

Our experiences have taught us that having a passion for what you do is vital for the success of any business. Our products reflect our love for seasonal décor, arts, and crafts, and we take inspiration from our lives in Fort McMurray and our Newfoundland roots. Our eye-catching designs are the result of our passion, drive, and desire to create unique pieces that reflect our story.

Our small business journey has been filled with love, passion, and a deep commitment to helping others. We feel incredibly blessed to have come this far. Our business may be small, but our hearts and intentions are big, and we will continue to put love into everything we create. We hope to inspire others to follow their dreams and find a way of giving back in the process.

We feel incredibly grateful for the support we have received from our loyal customers. Because of your support, our dream of giving back to the community has been made possible. We look forward to many more years of working with you and giving back to others in the process.
